ONE SOUTH CONNECT: BUILDING SUSTAINABLE FUTURES
Join the One South Movement and collaborate with prominent organizations working to protect the vital future of community building! For more than four decades, neighborhood organizations have strengthened our communities by advocating for collective needs, managing programs, and organizing beloved events. While this effort has been invaluable, its sustainability needs protection.
We need you to help envision more sustainable models for their initiatives to thrive! One South's event, ONE SOUTH: BUILDING SUSTAINABLE FUTURES seeks to deepen the conversation that began in May 2025. We are moving beyond just imagining sustainable futures to reflecting on the critical steps that must be done to ensure organizations are more sustainably resourced. We will work together to build collaborative strategies, systems, and resources intended to sustain neighborhood community building work for decades to come.
Experience powerful entertainment and meaningful conversation. The event features FREE FOOD catered by the beloved local, family-owned Caffrey’s Deli and Subs, offering classic subs, sandwiches, and options for gluten-free and vegan participants. Enjoy the powerful entertainment of The Give Get Sistet, represented by Jayanthi Rajasa, Kenna Cottman, and Sarah M. Greer. Their music, rooted in community and Black sisterhood, uses a cappella singing to ground the space and offer participants connection and hope.
The work of Corcoran Neighborhood Organization is driven by a team passionate about community wellbeing and connection. Our longest running program, the Midtown Farmers Market, creates access to local food, arts, and music for South Minneapolis residents and beyond. We strive to create events and spaces in which everyone feels belonging, safety, and joy. Join our efforts in making Corcoran a vibrant and inclusive place to be!
